The California, Santa Clara, & San Mateo County Psychological Associations are sponsoring two Webinar trainings for currently qualified and prospective child custody evaluators.  An 8-hour training will be held on July 23rd and 24th, 2022 and will focus on the needs of polarized children of divorce, relocation evaluations, Chinese and East Indian families, a risk model for children on the autistic spectrum, and current legal issues.  A 4-hour domestic violence training will be held on July 24th, 2022 and will focus on parent-child contact problems, family systems interventions, trauma, and legal issues related to coercive control and retaliatory filicide.  These trainings have been approved by the Judicial Council of California toward initial training hours to become a child custody evaluator and annual update training for existing evaluators.
